At Hitachi Energy Services, we are looking for a seasoned R&D engineer to fill the role of R&D Process Excellence Lead – Process Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring that our HVDC Digital R&D processes align with organizational objectives and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Coordination and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing processes within HVDC Digital R&D to guarantee seamless alignment with organizational goals and project deadlines.
  • Process Documentation: Effective documentation of processes within HVDC Digital R&D is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring transparency.
  • Support to Process Owners and Leaders: The R&D Process Excellence Lead – Process Coordinator will provide support to Process Owners (PO) and Process Leaders (PL) in creating new processes, facilitating process forums, yearly reviews, SWOT creation, and other key activities.
  • Quality Compliance and Audits: This role ensures compliance with internal and external quality standards, prepares the foundation for future responsibilities in quality management, and prepares for internal and external audits.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: The successful candidate will collaborate with other Process Coordinators from various units to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Forecasted responsibilities include developing and maintaining tools and metrics (KPIs) to monitor process performance, quality benchmarks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience and Education: 3+ years of experience and fluency in English; a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Process Creation and Management: Proven experience in creating, coordinating, or managing processes within a technical environment, preferably in R&D.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams, Process Owners, and Process Leaders.
  • Project Management Methodologies: Basic knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Beneficial Skills: Experience working in an agile methodology process, familiarity with digital systems development or quality management processes, Power BI skills, and Six Sigma certificates.
