We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer III to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT Operations, Technical Operations, or Engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions and excellent customer service.

The IT Systems Engineer III will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain, operate, and optimize our corporate IT infrastructure stack. This will involve designing, developing, and implementing IT infrastructure systems and automation, as well as leading security patching efforts and participating in code reviews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain, operate, and optimize our corporate IT infrastructure stack.
  • Design, develop, and implement IT infrastructure systems and automation.
  • Lead security patching efforts to ensure our systems and services are secure and up-to-date.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, Technical Operations, or Engineering.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or PHP.
  • Advanced technical proficiency and/or experience with systems such as AWS, GCP, Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Datadog, PagerDuty, or Splunk.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with remote teams.
  • Proven success in independently managing projects, solving complex problems, and understanding technical requirements.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or JFrog Pipelines.
  • Advanced technical proficiency and/or experience with systems such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Domain Services, Okta, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, Apache, Tomcat, NGINX, IIS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Secure DNS, IDS/IPS, EDR, Firewalls.
  • Technical certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, RHCSA, MCSA, AWS, GCC, etc.
  • Strong networking foundation with an understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model.
