About the Role

We are seeking a talented Experienced Cinematic Designer to join our Cinematics team in Warsaw and contribute to the ongoing development of Polaris, the first game in a new Witcher series saga.

Responsibilities

  • Creating engaging interactive scenes and cutscenes using advanced animation libraries and motion capture technology
  • Collaborating with industry-leading storytellers to produce scenes that are emotionally gripping or action-packed and spectacular
  • Communicating with Designers, other departments, and Leads to improve visual storytelling and establish continuity with gameplay
  • Setting up actor staging and cameras
  • Completing tasks on time in high quality
  • FOLLOWING AND MAINTAINING PIPELINES AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of storytelling and means of expression
  • Perfect understanding of acting, posing, and timing
  • Great knowledge of cinematography and editing
  • Experience directing and/or acting
  • Experience working with screenplays
  • Minimum 5 years of AAA games development experience (doing long-form projects from inception to completion)
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, Godot, REDkit, etc.)
  • Technical problem-solving
  • Quick to adapt to company proprietary software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Genuine interest in the genre
  • Experience with MotionBuilder/Maya
  • Experience working with animation
  • Experience with MotionBuilder
