About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Safety Physician Director to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline Services Unlimited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our patients and the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical expertise and guidance on safety-related matters to support the development and approval of our products.
  • Develop and implement pharmacovigilance strategies to ensure compliance with international regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate safety risks associated with our products.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of adverse event reports and provide recommendations for action.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacovigilance and safety science to ensure our organization remains at the forefront of industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor (physician) with significant experience in pharmacovigilance and safety evaluation.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective pharmacovigilance strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of international pharmacovigilance requirements, including ICH, GVP modules, and CIOMS initiatives.
  • Experience working in large matrix organizations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry, with a focus on Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Drug Safety, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with oncology patients and understanding of clinical trial safety and post-marketing activities.
  • GMC registered or local equivalent.
