Your Challenges

You will be joining the Procurement Excellence team at VELUX Global Procurement, a small and skilled team driving excellence and optimization in procurement. We are committed to challenging the status quo and creating a positive impact for the company.

As a member of this team, you can expect to be exposed to various assignments related to our strategic initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories. You will collaborate with stakeholders in Europe, China, and the US, driving transformation and growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the transformation of Global Procurement by implementing best practices in selected procurement areas.
  • Develop and execute local or global strategic procurement initiatives where Global Procurement is in the lead or has a key role.
  • Design, improve, and implement relevant procurement tools, methodologies, processes, policies, systems, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Develop training materials and train users in relevant tools and methodologies, policies, systems.
  • Provide procurement tool support and advice/recommendations to users to support capability building.
  • Bring in new ideas and perspectives that support the role's purpose.
  • Influence decisions within the area of expertise and work on the basis of Total Cost of Ownership mentality.
  • Challenge the status quo.

As a person, you are respectful, credible, and reliable, and you demonstrate commitment and initiative. In addition, you are effective in creating buy-in from stakeholders, and your quality standards are high. You understand how procurement can impact customers.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within procurement (as strategic purchaser, category manager, procurement manager, consultant, or similar).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or similar.
  • Wide and solid knowledge and understanding of key procurement methodologies and tools, such as sourcing, e-sourcing, RFX, should cost modeling, Linear Performance Pricing, Total Cost of ownership, risk assessment, negotiations.
  • Awareness of change management theory, influencing techniques, coaching is an advantage.
  • Well-organized and structured with the ability to navigate in somewhat complex business environments and somewhat complex assignments.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks within given assignments.
  • Solid analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Capable of preparing clear and to-the-point presentations tailored to the target audience, and train.
  • Agile, open-minded, and curious approach.
  • Result-oriented and pro-active mindset with commercial interest and flair.
  • Capable of handling several tasks in parallel with respect to deadlines and quality of work.
  • Keep informed about external/internal trends and developments within procurement-related topics.
  • Capable of preparing, executing, and completing complex assignments within procurement and with relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English.

You will be based in our office in Warsaw, Poland.

You can expect to travel up to 20 days annually.
