About the Role

The Procurement Excellence Specialist will join our Procurement Excellence team at VELUX Group, contributing to driving excellence and optimisation in global procurement. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders in Europe, China, and the US on various strategic initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the transformation of global procurement by implementing best-practices in selected areas.
  • Develop and implement relevant procurement tools, methodologies, processes, policies, systems, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Provide procurement tool support and advice/recommendations to users to support capability building.
  • Bring in new ideas and perspectives that support the role's purpose.
  • Influence decisions within the area of expertise and work based on a Total Cost of Ownership mindset.
  • Challenge the status quo.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess solid interpersonal skills, be capable of communicating clearly, and building and maintaining relationships. They will also have a respectful, credible, and reliable attitude, demonstrating commitment and initiative.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience within procurement (as strategic purchaser, category manager, procurement manager, consultant or similar).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics or similar.
  • Wide and solid knowledge and understanding of key procurement methodologies and tools.
  • Awareness of change management theory, influencing techniques, and coaching.
  • Well-organised and structured with the ability to navigate in complex business environments.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Solid analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Capable of preparing clear and to-the-point presentations tailored to the target audience.
  • Agile, open-minded, and curious approach.
  • Result-oriented and pro-active mindset with commercial interest and flair.
  • Capable of handling several tasks in parallel with respect to deadlines and quality of work.
  • Speaking and writing fluently in English.

Location

The role will be based in our office in Warsaw, Poland, and may require occasional travel within Europe.
