About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Expert to join our team at Cisco. As a trusted technical authority, you will serve as a key contact for global customers and partners, providing expert-level support and guidance on complex network security issues.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to knowledge bases, troubleshooting guides, and train junior engineers to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
  • Engage with the latest networking security technologies and recreate customer issues in Cisco labs to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Assist other technical experts and interact with Engineering to solve problems and submit effective escalations.
  • Recognize and submit bugs, provide escalation support, and build reusable lab setups to optimize problem-solving efficiency.
  • Produce and share intellectual capital, including documentation and training, for global use to foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Mentor and develop others, leveraging software skills to configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco products to enhance skillsets.
  • Solve complex problems with innovative troubleshooting and experimentation, providing guidance to other engineers to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Act as a technical expert, applying industry standards and partnering with serviceability teams to author requirements and review specifications to ensure best practices.

Your Qualifications

  • Five or more years of related experience with technical support in networking and Network Security, with a strong background in CCIE-level knowledge (Certification not required).
  • Technical knowledge and proven experience in Networking and Network Security, with expertise in NAC or Cisco ISE preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills analyzing logs and data, with a foundation of Linux/UNIX command line tools/environment.
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken, with ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
