We are looking for a skilled Snowflake Cloud Data Architect Specialist to join our team at Upvanta sp. z o.o.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize and manage multiple Snowflake accounts and cloud resources to ensure efficient data warehousing solutions.
  • Oversee Snowflake usage, warehouse management, and implement effective resource monitoring to drive business outcomes.
  • Design, implement, and manage Snowflake's Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system to ensure secure data access.
  • Set up and manage Snowflake Secure Data Shares, Data Consumers, and Partner Connect to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Lead the replication of databases and demonstrate database failover/failback procedures to ensure high availability.
  • Communicate and manage Snowflake releases, ensuring timely adaptation to feature deprecations and enhancements to stay ahead in the market.
  • Demonstrate and implement improvements in Snowflake's public and private preview features to drive innovation.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders on technical matters and provide solutions to complex data challenges to drive business growth.
  • Lead a team and oversee the successful execution of multiple data-driven projects to deliver tangible results.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for Snowflake architecture to ensure consistency and excellence.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in computer science, IT, systems analysis, or other related fields to drive technical expertise.
  • 6+ years of experience in data warehousing and relational databases, with expertise in Snowflake, Oracle, or PostgreSQL to leverage industry knowledge.
  • Experience managing multiple Snowflake accounts and working with multiple cloud providers to ensure adaptability.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake's architecture, resource monitoring, and warehouse management to drive efficient operations.
  • Expertise in Snowflake's RBAC system, including the best practices for roles and access patterns to ensure secure data access.
  • Experience with Snowflake Secure Data Shares, Data Consumers, and Partner Connect configurations to facilitate seamless data exchange.
  • Proven experience with database replication, failover, and failback to ensure high availability.
  • Ability to communicate and manage Snowflake release cycles, especially when dealing with deprecated features to stay ahead in the market.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Shell Scripting, and Python to leverage programming skills.
  • Solid understanding of AWS and cloud technologies, with a strong grasp of data warehousing concepts to drive business outcomes.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or cross-functional team lead role to drive leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the ability to provide technical solutions for complex data issues to drive business growth.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, particularly Agile to drive efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization to drive collaboration.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field to drive academic excellence.
