About this Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled Contracts Manager to join our team in London & South East coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in passive fire protection and intumescent paint, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end projects and costs, from initial brief to sign off. This includes estimating for and overseeing the installation of various passive fire protection products and intumescent paint, as well as liaising with site management teams and attending site visits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimating and Project Management: Provide detailed estimates for projects, oversee the installation of passive fire protection products and intumescent paint, and ensure projects are carried out to a high level of detail.
  • Liaising with Site Management Teams: Collaborate with site management teams to ensure that all involved are aware of our work processes, facilitating smooth project execution.
  • Site Visits and Quotations: Conduct regular site visits to gain a deeper understanding of works required, assisting with quotations and ensuring timely completion.
  • Weekly Review Meetings: Attend weekly review meetings to assess project progress, ensuring deadlines are being met and making necessary adjustments.
  • RAMs and H&S Documents: Produce relevant RAMs and H&S documents, adhering to requirements and ensuring timely management of both temporary and permanent staff.
  • BORIS System: Upload new clients, projects, drawings, and RAMs to the BORIS system prior to each project start date.
  • Business Development: Contribute to overall business development through introductions and client proposals.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in a Contracts Manager role, preferably in passive fire protection and intumescent paint.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of fire stopping procedures and products, with up-to-date SMSTS and CSCS tickets.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal, with a confident and capable individual who can manage any situation on site.
  • Tech Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, with experience using the BORIS system.
  • Driving License: Full, valid UK driving license with the willingness and flexibility to travel to sites across the UK at short notice.
