The General Ledger Accounting team at Billtrust is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with hands-on experience in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger by recording, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring that all entries are accurate, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Month-End and Quarter-End Close: Assist with the preparation and execution of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, adjustments, and financial reports.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to general ledger and financial reporting processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably within a corporate or SaaS environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
