Job Description:

Fund Accounting Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the valuation of investment funds. This position involves providing strategic direction to a team of fund accountants and ensuring the accurate calculation and dissemination of Net Asset Values (NAVs).

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals, conduct personnel duties, and support achievement through SMART goal setting.
  • Calculate daily and periodic NAVs for funds, disseminate unit prices, and produce audited financial accounts in accordance with local regulations and accepted accounting values.
  • Complete regulatory reporting and client requirements covering fund valuation, portfolio, expenses, and transaction volumes.
  • Assist the section manager of fund accountants in various financial and accounting matters affecting clients.
  • Analyze business risk and identify corrective action plans across teams.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for internal/external staff queries and develop process standards.
  • Create and maintain business relationships, implement service enhancements, and train staff on new technology.
  • Support strategic goals and annual performance/compensation cycle, reducing expenses, and recommending enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Chartered Accountant/CFA/MBA certification.
  • Experience in accounting or related field.
  • Knowledge of funds services, technical systems, and supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge in related areas.
