About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-stack Software Engineer to join our team at Lidl in Deutschland. As a Full-stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing native mobile apps and web services that support the processes that ensure the continuity of the supply applications are currently being used by 10,000+ users in 15+ countries.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement native mobile apps and web services using Kotlin or Java (backend)
  • Develop cloud-native services using Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and StackIT
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services
  • Implement unit tests on both frontend and backend
  • Knowledge of devops processes - CI/CD and the ability to implement them in Azure DevOps/GitHub/Jenkins or similar
  • Knowledge of application containerization technology and Kubernetes

Requirements

  • Higher education in computer science or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
  • Very good knowledge of Kotlin or Java
  • Good knowledge of Ktor, Spring Boot or a similar framework
  • Knowledge of design patterns and software architecture
  • Knowledge of SQL, especially PostgreSQL and SQLite
  • Knowledge of NoSQL, especially MongoDB and Realm
