Job Summary:

The Records and Information Management Specialist will be responsible for efficiently managing Westinghouse business records, enhancing the quality and accessibility of information available to project participants and functional departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input, review, and verify information entered in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to ensure completeness and correctness.
  • Identify necessary actions to correct any incorrect data before archiving via EDMS.
  • Locate and retrieve information from various sources and provide information to requestors in the correct format.
  • Convert electronic document formats into the appropriate Westinghouse format for permanent long-term storage and retrieval.
  • Proactively identify problems, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and tool utilities.
  • Ability to perform data entry into EDMS.
  • Basic understanding of record attributes.
  • Basic knowledge of revision/version control.
  • Basic knowledge of document types.
  • Basic understanding of web-based technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of query/search functions.
  • Basic knowledge of records management security policies.
  • Basic understanding of critical thinking skills to perform RIM activities.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectively in a team environment.
