About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team at Devopsbay. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, tools, and models to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our client business model and its drivers, with a focus on a specific business unit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify data and metrics needed to solve business problems.
  • Work with Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and relevant teams on data instrumentation.
  • Propose standardized definitions of data and metrics and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Develop analytical frameworks, single-source-of-truth data sets, and dashboards to empower stakeholders to perform their own analysis.
  • Lead projects end-to-end from discovery to activation and post-launch in collaboration with a cross-functional team.
  • Clearly document data models with source, description, and field definitions for better collaboration, maintainability, and usability.
  • Serve as an evangelist for the product solution in question, including alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience working as a data analyst, data scientist, consulting, banking, or equivalent quantitative analytical role.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in statistics, math, economics, computer science, finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Expert SQL skills and experience with BI tools (Mode, Tableau, Looker, Qlikview, etc.).
  • Experience with data transformation tooling (dbt is preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working directly with business teams to define metrics, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
  • 1+ years of professional experience with Python or R.
Nice to Have
  • Insurance or financial services background.
  • Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high-growth environments.
  • Previous experience working in user segmentation, attribution, funnel conversion, or similar business analytics problems.
