Job Title: Principal Engineer-Network Architecture

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer-Network Architecture to join our innovative team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC.



Your Role:

As a Principal Engineer-Network Architecture, you will be responsible for assisting in the design and architecture of network services, ensuring a secure and stable network environment.




  • Design and maintain network documentation for new projects or existing redesigns.
  • Assist in the development of existing or new solutions.
  • Documenting and designing the network for new sites or implementations.
  • Reviewing and updating existing documentation and performing documentation audits in the environment.
  • Ensure a secure and stable network environment by overseeing the regular monitoring and maintenance of networks.
  • Provide high-level technical support for our platforms and solutions.
  • Document network issues and provide business case or solutions to management.
  • Ensure network compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the team.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure the smooth operation of network infrastructure.
  • Have a "look ahead" attitude in developing solutions.
  • Performing any other related duties prioritized by the Network Services Manager.


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering or related field.
  • High level of understanding in the network, telecom, and firewall fields.
  • 5+ years working with network and telecommunications technologies.
  • 5+ years integrating different infrastructure technologies.
  • 3+ years of infrastructure architecture/design.
  • Proficient in Arista switches and Cloud Vision Portal, Cisco routers and switches, Nexus switches, Python, SolarWinds network configuration manager (NCM), Aruba Clear Pass Policy Manager, Cisco Prime/DNA, Cisco/Arista Wireless, Cisco SDWAN.
  • CCNP or CCIE Professional certification or Arista equivalent.
