These teams will be shaping the future of retail by building and evolving Castorama’s mobile app, e-commerce platform, and the back-office systems that power store operations across Poland. We’re on the lookout for top talent to build NodeJS and GraphQL middleware for new iOS and Android native apps and potential to work further afield. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust back-end systems using Node.js and GraphQL. Implement and manage server-side logic ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Develop and maintain schemas and resolvers for GraphQL APIs. Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS. Collaborate with front end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and functionalities. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Troubleshoot and debug applications and perform code reviews. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features. Manage and mentor junior members of the team. Skills and experience Proven professional experience in back-end development with Node.js and GraphQL. Solid hands-on experience with AWS services. Strong knowledge of Git and containerisation technologies (Docker). Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows. Familiarity with authentication and authorisation mechanisms (OAuth). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in team environments. Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
