For Digital Hub Warsaw, we are looking for: Lead Cloud Platform Architect - Analytics & AI Platforms The Digital Transformation Unit of Bayer Consumer Health operates a global data & analytics cloud platform, which is the backbone of all Data & Analytics Products, including ML, AI, and GenAI Solutions. As a Lead Cloud Platform Architect, you will be part of a DevOps team, responsible for enhancing and operating a globally scalable distributed Data, Analytics, and AI platform. You will engage with Data Engineers, Data Architects, Data Scientists, Cloud Engineers and other Platform Architects to identify which Capabilities need to be enabled or adjusted, considering -short, mid- and long-term industry trends. Further, you will be participating in developing and shaping a data & AI technology strategy, data architecture blueprints, and data governance processes. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Drive vision, architecture & development of the Bayer Consumer Health cloud platform for Data, Analytics and AI by contributing to the platform roadmap, realizing this roadmap as part of a team with other Cloud Architects and Engineers. Especially focus on requirements for missing capabilities in areas of Data & Analytics Stack: GenAI, Data Science, ML, and Application Development. Engage with Digital Leads, Architects, Engineers, Data Scientists, Leadership Team and Analysts from business functions to ensure platform capabilities addressing required needs are properly prioritized and advocate platform achievements and value. Plan, design, and implement platform components/new features/new services on Azure Cloud Platform & Databricks based on derived requirements in line with security guidelines, non-functional requirements like cost efficiency and scalability, and documentation guidelines and train team members and stakeholders on how to operate and leverage new features that you have built. Also participate in Azure service evaluation. Define SOPs & support operations of the platform by providing assistance to stakeholders and ensuring smooth functionality across services, this includes life cycle changes, incident resolution and service requests implementation as well as automation of operations as much as possible. Design, observe and assess platform compliance and define AI-based solutions to ensure cost efficient platform and data operations within compliance guidelines. Engage with technology and implementation partners to overcome issues if required. Engage with central cloud teams, infrastructure and cyber security teams to implement company and industry best practices and overcome blockers and incidents. Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience): Master’s degree in computer science, IT engineering, physics, or a similar field. 5+ years of working experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud development (infrastructure as code) and proficient knowledge of the Data Platform Stack (ML, Databricks, Data Factory, etc.) and Application Development Stack (Container Apps, Web Apps, etc.). Proficient knowledge of Azure Network Design (Private Link, VPC Setup, Azure Firewall, etc.) and Azure Authentication Management. In-depth understanding of (cloud-based) tools and services available in the market to develop actionable business insights and scale data platforms effectively and efficiently. Excellent knowledge about Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Application Development, as well as platform architecture skills is a must. Coding skills in PowerShell, Azure Resource Monitor/ARM, Bicep, Terraform, as well as Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitHub, and GitHub Actions is a plus. Problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with profound business judgment. Very good interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to listen and advise actively, as well as good presentation skills. Intercultural awareness and willingness to travel. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
