Purpose of the Role

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management, growth, and strategic development of the company. This position requires a combination of strategic vision and hands-on leadership to strengthen the company's market presence, enhance profitability, and ensure alignment with the group's international objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's business strategy in line with group goals.
  • Drive sales growth and expand distribution in the Polish and CEE markets.
  • Open up, develop and establish procurement sources for finished products in the Eastern European markets.
  • Oversee operations, finance, and administration to ensure efficient performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Lead marketing and business development initiatives to strengthen the brand's position.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for group headquarters.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a small multidisciplinary team.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, operations, or general management roles.
  • Proven success in leading P&L and delivering business growth.
  • Experience in the building materials, construction supplies, or decorative products sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the Polish market.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in Polish and English (German is an asset).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on leadership style and strategic thinking.
  • The DIY sector would be a great advantage
