For our client we are currently looking for General Manager responsible for Warsaw office.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete profit and loss statements for the region, ensuring targets for revenue, operating income, productivity, and cash flow are met.
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate organizational structure to enhance business performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt and implement market strategies and growth opportunities to align with the organization's long-term objectives and achieve annual targets.
  • Motivate sales teams to effectively promote, specify, and sell new products and services.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in Integrated Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Product Management, and Marketing to strengthen the business in the region.
  • Continuously assess performance and develop corrective action plans to address any shortcomings, ensuring implementation as needed.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for customer issues and dispute resolution within the country.
  • Conduct customer courtesy visits and actively seek customer feedback.
  • Gain insights through market analysis to formulate effective strategies on how to win and where to compete.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive culture that emphasizes employee engagement, retention, and development throughout the organization.
  • Recruit, develop, motivate, and manage the country team's performance in alignment with corporate policies, in close collaboration with the HR department.
  • Identify, nurture, and develop top talent in accordance with corporate guidelines.
  • Recognize and reward team contributions in line with corporate policies.
  • Ensure effective communication with the field through town halls and other communication channels.
  • Provide strong leadership and motivation to maintain high levels of employee engagement in the country.
  • Assess training needs and create opportunities for developing a highly skilled workforce, coaching managers for succession planning.
  • Anticipate business and market challenges and develop appropriate go-to-market strategies and execution plans.
  • Adapt leadership style to navigate a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Actively engage in daily hands-on business activities to demonstrate leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Technical or Business field.
  • Demonstrated success in sales management, particularly in direct sales roles and general managment roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills across various levels.
  • Experience managing sales and service teams in the technical/ machinery sector, ideally including remote teams across diverse cultures.
  • Familiarity with working in a matrix management environment.
  • Solid understanding of the local regional market, including industry specifics and cultural nuances.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with proven commercial and negotiation abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel within the local region and internationally as needed.
  • Strong presentation skills for interactions with customers, senior management.
  • Ability to influence customers, internal senior management.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Possess advanced business acumen.
  • Capability to make and justify complex decisions.
