Marine Coordinator

We are currently seeking experienced

(Senior) Marine Coordinator (m/f/d)

to support an OWF project in Poland, starting , for an estimated duration of 6 months.

This freelance role is onshore-based in Gdynia, Poland, operating on an 14/14 rotation (24/7 operations) with potential weekend assignments depending on operational requirements.

Responsibilities

As part of your role, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• 24/7 Marine Coordination Operations
• Performing all marine coordination duties as part of a watch team.
• Operating the Vissim Vessel Tracking System.
• Ensuring a continuous and properly functioning operational setup.
• Reporting & Communications
• Reporting to the Central Control Room (CCR) Lead.
• Maintaining communication between ERT and IMT.
• Supporting Search and Rescue (SAR) activities when required.
• Operational Control & Safety
• Activating and deactivating Control of Work permits as requested.
• Monitoring communication and tracking systems to ensure safe vessel and personnel operations.
• Maintaining accurate logs and report hazardous observations, near misses, and incidents.
• Vessel & Personnel Coordination
• Coordinating vessel and equipment movements to/from the offshore sites.
• Preventing operational conflicts and supporting safe, efficient workflows.
• Liaising with site managers on marine-related issues.
• Providing weather updates and coordinating personnel transfers.
• Weekly Marine Coordination Notice
• Preparing weekly reports summarizing past and planned marine operations.
• Agreeing on the report format with the client and submitting notices for approval.
• Addressing comments or requests within one working day.
• Navigation Aids & Tracking
• Monitoring navigation marker buoys at both sites.
• Maintaining the Personnel Tracking Unit Database.
• Ensuring accurate sailing and cargo manifests.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering marine coordination or similar marine services.
• Maritime background: Master 500 GT or Nautical Watch Officer certification.
• Valid SRC / LRC / GOC radio certificates.
• English skills are mandatory and Polish skills optional.
• Strong communication and situational awareness.
• Ability to manage multi-tasking in high-pressure environments.
• Extensive understanding of offshore marine operations, safety systems, and communication protocols.
