PUBLIC AFFAIRS MANAGER

We're looking for a Public Affairs leader to shape the regulatory landscape for one of the most recognized brewing companies in Poland with leading Polish brands like Tyskie, Lech, Żubr, Książęce as well as international like Pilsner Urquell, Peroni Astra Nazuro or Asahi Super Dry. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of business, policy, and social responsibility within the fast-paced FMCG sector.

The role is to design and lead Kompania Piwowarska's Public Affairs strategy to secure an optimal regulatory environment in line with the company's long-term growth agenda as well as full accountability for the implementation of Asahi Group's Alcohol Policy—both externally and internally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Public Affairs and Alcohol Policy strategies aligned with company goals
  • Build relationships with policymakers at national and EU level to maintain ongoing dialog with them (e.g. excise tax, packaging, marketing and sales freedom etc.)
  • Represent the company in industry associations and public forums
  • Lead regulatory risk management and early warning systems
  • Oversee compliance with responsible marketing and alcohol policies (internal & external) and drive the execution of responsible drinking initiatives, industry self-regulation commitments, employee education, and transparent product labeling.
  • Advise senior leadership on political and regulatory trends impacting the business
  • Lead or support internal taskforces on key policy issues (excise tax, alcohol regulation, waste and packaging legislation – EPR/DRS/PPWR and others).

Your profile:

  • 15+ years of experience, including 10 in Public Affairs, government, or lobbying roles
  • University degree (preferably in Political Science, Economics, Law, Sociology, or PR)
  • Strategic mindset with deep knowledge of legislative processes in Poland and the EU
  • Proven experience in regulated industries (alcohol, FMCG, or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills both in Polish and English
  • Strong business understanding and stakeholder management
  • Proven expertise in policy advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and social responsibility programs
  • Knowledge of excise-taxed categories and regulatory-sensitive industries is a strong plus
