Division: Group Business Solutions (GBS)
Within GBS, you will join the Solutions Architecture team in the Software Engineering Tribe. Here, you will play a crucial role in defining the target architecture and designing end-to-end solutions for initiatives across various GBS domains with a focus on our EB Cash and Banking domain and actively participate in the evolution of the Solution Architecture Practice.

Your role

• Support and, where appropriate, lead the definition and implementation of architecture solutions for transversal programs, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and security requirements under the guidance of senior architects.
• Work with requirement owners, domain architects, and IT engineers to build high-quality solutions.
• Bridge the gap between Enterprise Architecture and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and domain target architectures.
• Contribute to the creation of reusable solution patterns and building blocks and actively participate in the evolution of Solution Architecture and Software Engineering practices.
• Apply hands-on technology and delivery experience to contribute to the definition of business capability (Domain) target architectures and roadmaps focused on the EB Cash & Banking domain.
• Engage in communities of practice with other architects to share standard methodologies and lessons learned.

Your profile

• Extensive experience in the IT industry, ideally as a Solution Architect or Business Architect or Lead Developer on large-scale transformation programs that are cross domain, with a strong emphasis on Payments and Treasury functions.
• Experience with large-scale agile projects and DevOps practices, including CI/CD. Knowledge of agile working at scale and methods such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) would be beneficial.
• Proficiency in Event Driven and Service-based architectures, microservices, and RESTful APIs would be advantageous.

• Technical Knowledge:

• Experience with Mainframe technologies in general. Some experience of Java on Mainframe would also be beneficial.

• Familiarity with integration and data technologies, and experience with JavaScript front-end frameworks like Angular is advantageous.

• Ability to handle complex systems and problems across functions, locations, and organizations.

• Capable of conducting architectural analysis and providing pragmatic suggestions with guidance / mentorship and know when to escalate.
• Strong analytical abilities to break down complex problems and provide actionable solutions.
• Focus on delivering fit-for-purpose results using a pragmatic approach.
• Strong communication skills to advocate for architectural recommendations to project teams and senior management.
• Ability to build positive relationships.
• Strong domain knowledge in Payments (domestic and cross-border) and Treasury Management. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. Open Agile Architecture or TOGAF) is a plus.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry and a good understanding of Payments or Treasury processes is must and the related regulatory environments understanding is desirable.
• Proficiency in English is required.

The Group Business Solutions (GBS) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
