Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for a Technology Portfolio Program Management Director to join their team in Krakow. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide strategic oversight and governance for a significant technology portfolio, ensuring its alignment with the organisation's overall business objectives.

Position Overview

As the Technology Portfolio Program Management Director, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of enterprise-wide technology programmes. You will provide effective governance, support the CIO in prioritising delivery, and hold programme managers accountable. Your work will ensure that technology investments are managed effectively, delivering value and driving the organisation forward.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective governance and oversight for the technology portfolio.
  • Support the CIO to prioritise and schedule programme delivery.
  • Ensure active financial and benefit management across all programmes.
  • Establish strong collaboration with internal risk and audit functions.
  • Maintain control over the portfolio's change inventory.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to Agile frameworks and group standards.
  • Drive efficiencies and improvements across the portfolio.
  • Keep senior business and technology leaders fully briefed on progress.
  • Own the delivery of strategic planning cycles for technology investment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable executive leadership in technology within financial services.
  • Experience managing technology budgets or portfolios in the hundreds of millions.
  • A strong understanding of technology management requirements for banks.
  • Deep financial and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with critical stakeholders.
  • Based in Europe, with immediate access to the EU/Polish market.
