We are looking for an
Import Specialist
to join our team and manage end-to-end import operations, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and smooth inbound logistics. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process customs clearance for incoming shipments by accurately managing import transactions in the Olympus customs system, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate shipment collections and delivery schedules with logistics providers to ensure efficient inbound flow of goods.
• Maintain full visibility of import transactions by updating internal systems and stakeholders with real-time status information.
• Generate and distribute regular status reports to track shipment progress and identify delays.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners to resolve issues and provide timely updates.
• Notify relevant departments of customs goods arrivals and ensure proper documentation for inventory and compliance.
• Assign financial invoices to appropriate cost centers, ensuring accurate allocation of import-related expenses.
• Troubleshoot customs clearance issues in collaboration with customs brokers and internal teams.
• Work closely with Purchasing and Warehouse departments to align delivery schedules and manage inventory flow.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in import and transport operations.
• Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Experience with import management systems and tools.
• Ability to prepare, verify, and manage import documents (invoices, bills of lading, customs declarations).
• Proactive communication with customs authorities, logistics providers, and internal teams.
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot customs clearance issues and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Ability to manage inbound logistics, monitor shipment status, and schedule collections.
• Skills in delivery planning and scheduling to minimize delays.
• Ability to identify potential disruptions in supply chain and import processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Strong organizational skills, accountability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• University degree, preferably in logistics or business.
