Description

Verisk is seeking an independent and driven Intercompany Process Owner/SME to join our Corporate Finance team in Kraków. 

In this individual contributor's role, you will collaborate closely with Verisk's Corporate Accounting teams across the U.S. and globally, delivering high-quality support to business units, the tax department, and senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Intercompany Process Owner and Subject Matter Expert,
     

  • Drive intercompany process design and set up,
     

  • Manage Intercompany transactions, including overseeing invoicing and posting journal vouchers,
     

  • Implement an Intercompany netting and settlement process; coordinate with Treasury for settlements and booking of the payments,
     

  • Monitor foreign exchange impact of Intercompany transactions and balances and work with the GL team and Treasury to mitigate impacts,
     

  • Support Treasury with managing a cash pool and associated intercompany balances,
     

  • Perform Intercompany reconciliations, conduct the investigation and resolution of discrepancies and open items in a timely manner,
     

  • Actively participate in the monthly closing process, including analysis pertaining to owned areas,
     

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger according to US GAAP, Corporate Accounting policies, internal SOX control and procedures,
     

  • Ensure timely and accurate generation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders,
     

  • Maintain and provide appropriate documentation for all responsible SOX and audit controls.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of professional experience in global Intercompany operations (including invoicing, netting, settlements, reconciliation, cash pooling and foreign exchange); exposure to transfer pricing is considered an asset,
     

  • Fluent in English,
     

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive process design and setup in a fast-paced, international environment,
     

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills,
     

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel,
     

  • Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP is a strong advantage,
     

  • Proven experience in change management and leading or supporting projects,
     

  • Highly detail-oriented, meticulous, and diligent in task executions,
     

  • Possesses a continuous improvement mindset, with adaptability and resilience.
