DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

In this role you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining components of the Global Data Platform built in multicloud environment consisting of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Azure connected by ODSA service.

You will work on integrating data sources into Oracle Autonomous Database, designing and maintaining unified data structures and data transformation processes.

You will utilize your existing and develop new skills in the areas of: PL/SQL, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Integration but also new tools and solutions interoperating with Oracle database that will be implemented.

This role will report to Product Owner: Data Architecture & Integrations

As the Oracle Data Engineer and Modeler you will:

• Maintain and develop Oracle Autonomous Database serving as a data-bus between integrated systems
• Design data structures, develop and expand automatic data unification process in Oracle autonomous database ensuring correctness of operation and high performance
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories to ensure consistency and integrity of data models
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data models, as well as maintain their documentation
• Maintain and expand integrations in Oracle Integration Gen 3 / other tools to integrate new data sources / data domains
• Work closely with data architect, data governance analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models
• Cooperate with Azure specialists when providing data for Azure analytical part of the Data Platform

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Oracle Data Engineer and Modeler:

• Has hands-on experience with Oracle database systems, ideally cloud-based
• Has experience with creating and implementing data models
• Has experience with understanding source data structures of ERP, CRM and other business systems and transforming them to target data structures
• Has strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Has experience with application/data integration projects and integration tools
• Possesses a flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
• Has the ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Is a team player and enjoys working in a cooperative and collaborative team environment

Additional helpful qualifications:

• Knows some of these ERP / CRM systems / their data structures: NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Dynamics 365, Sage, Salesforce
• Knows Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Has experience with building UI for solutions based on Oracle DB e.g. using Apex
• Has basic experience with MS SQL Server
• Has experience with data warehouse / BI systems
• Knows some of Azure Cloud technologies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION | What you need to know

• Role based either in Poland or Spain.
• Able to work remotely several days per week with occasional travel as needed.
• English is a must-have, and an additional (European) language is a plus.
• Work permit allowing work in Poland or Spain.
