Project Description:

Our client in banking and capital markets industry is building a centralized platform for its sales and trading business vertical.

FICC Technology Team is seeking a strong Java developer to build Next Generation Market Data Plant which will ingest, collect and disseminate market data and perform order execution with the lowest possible latency. In addition, market data will be distributed internal applications via publish/subscribe and other well-known industry mechanisms.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial applications, ensuring robust data structures that support accurate modeling of financial products, transactions, and risk.

  • Develop tools and data framework to facilitate seamless data exchange between distributed systems.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define schemas and evolve them over time without disrupting service integrations.

  • Ensure data integrity and compatibility, maintaining backward compatibility across versions and systems.

  • Implement schema evolution strategies, including building and maintaining supporting tools for serialization, deserialization, and compression.

  • Ensure consistent release quality.


Mandatory Skills Description:

  • Skilled in serialization, deserialization, and data compression for large-scale systems.

  • Experienced in ensuring backward compatibility for stored data and service integrations.

  • Strong background in relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modelling.

  • Proven ability to define and implement schema evolution strategies, including supporting tools.

  • Proficient in major programming languages: Java, C#, C++ and Typescript.

  • Solid understanding of financial products, transactions, and risk modelling.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

-Knowledge of sales and trading domains of investment banking business

  • Experience with Python

  • Apply knowledge of current market data services and trading platform methods for automated data collection and standardization methods.
