AI Technical Lead

We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on
AI Tech Lead
for a full-stack AI native feature team for building a cutting-edge quantitative investment platform.

The Client envisions the platform as a groundbreaking, AI-driven investment ecosystem that revolutionizes the entire investment process by formulating an intuitive and human-centric design approach. This initiative transcends mere digitization, aiming to redefine investment decision-making with systematic, transparent, and intelligent solutions. Central to the Client's strategy is crafting a platform that reflects the investment philosophy while maintaining the versatility to cater to a wide array of users, e.g., from wealth funds to family offices. The advanced AI-native platform will be meticulously designed to meet the Client's strategic needs, offering transformative capabilities for the investment landscape.

It's a 100% office role from the Krakow office.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-native SDLC execution: Drive development using EPAM's AI/RUN framework, including agent-assisted code generation, testing, and deployment
• Architect and deliver modular components: Own the build of scalable, containerized services (e.g., Strategy Builder, DDQ Generator) aligned with the RIPL architecture
• Enable agentic workflows: Integrate and supervise AI agents (e.g., Developer Agent, Test Agent, Code Review Agent) to accelerate delivery and maintain quality
• Ensure traceability and explainability: Implement transparent, auditable pipelines from data ingestion to portfolio execution, aligned with the Client's investment philosophy
• Collaborate across feature pods: Work closely with Product, UX, Data, and Architecture teams to deliver sprint-ready increments with measurable KPIs
• Champion engineering excellence: Enforce test-driven development, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and documentation standards
• Uphold Eng X and the highest level of Engineering Excellence, e.g. Clean Code, SOLID principles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong expertise in Python, TypeScript/React, and cloud-native architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Experience with AI agent orchestration, knowledge graphs, and LLM integration (e.g., DIAL, RAG, MCP)
• Proven ability to lead multi-agent, AI-assisted SDLC in high-compliance environments
• Familiarity with quantitative research workflows, time-series data, and financial analytics is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in agile, cross-functional teams

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of financial instruments and risk management
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
