Job Title: Grid Software Integration Engineer

Total Experience Required: 8+ years in Information Technology/Computers/Software

Relevant Experience Required: 6+ experience in software development for mission-critical grid applications within the utilities sector (Transmission and Distribution).

Job Type: Contract

Contract Duration: A minimum duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to 18 months or beyond, depending on project requirements.

Workplace Type: Hybrid (at least 3 times a week at office)

Languages Required: English

Visa/Work Authorization Status: Candidates must hold a valid work permit or visa to work in Poland

Work Location: Warsaw, Poland

  1. Must be currently based in Poland or
  2. Willing to relocate to Poland from anywhere within Europe or the UK
  3. Candidates outside Europe/UK unfortunately cannot be considered

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement software solutions for Energy Management Systems, integrating multiple utility platforms through web services and middleware.
  • Develop Java-based applications and middleware logic for Windows and Linux environments.
  • Create and maintain WSDLs and XSDs for system integration.
  • Work on SCADA, DMS, EMS and OMS application development and enhancements.
  • Build and support interface solutions linking diverse systems across the grid network.

Essential Skills

  • Strong expertise with Apache technologies including Geronimo, Tomcat, Camel, ServiceMix and Axis.
  • Experience integrating with ESB and bus platforms such as Fuse ESB, TIBCO and WebSphere.
  • Proficiency in Oracle and SQL.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience with C/C++, KSH and Java software development.
  • Understanding of utility network operations and grid management applications.

Optional Skills

  • Exposure to automation frameworks or modern microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for operational systems
