 Data Engineer

Warsaw | working from home up to 40% | Reference 7407

Banking Services is at the core of Swiss payments, providing the infrastructure for interbank transactions and coordinating card and mobile payments for financial institutions, businesses, and the Swiss population. Guided by our values of trust, collaboration, ownership, and customer focus, we are shaping the future of payments and are now looking for a proactive Data Engineer to join our Warsaw team.

As part of our Data Science team within SIX Group, you will make data more accessible and drive innovation through advanced analytics and AI. From building predictive models to applying large language models, you will collaborate with colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions that transform customer interactions and operational processes.

  What You Will Do
  • design and implement data science solutions to extract insights, automate processes, and communicate results with Power BI
  • develop and optimize scalable Python ETL pipelines for on-prem (Windows, Linux) and Azure (Databricks) environments
  • build robust data ingestion pipelines for structured and unstructured data, including quality checks and error handling
  • maintain container-based CI/CD workflows, orchestration, and monitoring in both cloud and on-prem environments
  • apply and fine-tune machine learning models, including large language models and time-series forecasting
 
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a quantitative field, or equivalent background and 4+ years of professional experience in Data, ML, or Software Engineering
  • strong proficiency in Python (data science stack) and engineering best practices (testing, review, documentation)
  • hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, version control, CI/CD, containerization, and relational databases
  • solid knowledge of statistics, data analysis methods, and applied ML (e.g., LLMs) integration; Azure experience (Databricks, ADF) is a plus
  • fluent in English (both verbal & writing), German is a plus
