Position overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in e-commerce platforms and ERP/financial systems. The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end digital commerce ecosystems that drive scalability, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, architectural design, integration strategy, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with complex e-commerce implementations, API-driven integrations, business process design, and cloud-based solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing architecture for BigCommerce-based online commerce experiences.
• Architect integrations between BigCommerce and NetSuite, including order management, inventory, pricing, fulfillment, product synchronization, and financial workflows.
• Define data models, process flows, and system interactions across front-end, back-end, and third-party systems.
• Lead solution design sessions, mapping business requirements to technical solutions.
• Develop integration patterns using REST APIs, middleware (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft), webhooks, and custom services.
• Ensure all integrations follow best practices for security, resilience, and performance.
• Work with product managers, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end system implementations.
• Create architectural documents: solution designs, sequence diagrams, data mappings, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical oversight during build, testing, and deployment phases.
• Analyze existing architectures and recommend enhancements for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Proactively identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stay current with BigCommerce and NetSuite platform updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Serve as the technical expert in workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, finance, logistics, and customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or technical lead roles within e-commerce ecosystems.
• Strong hands-on experience with BigCommerce (Stensils, APIs, checkout customization).
• Deep expertise with NetSuite ERP, including SuiteScript, SuiteTalk, workflows, and integrations.
• Demonstrated experience architecting integrations between e-commerce and ERP systems.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, SSO, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience working with iPaaS integration tools (Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.).
• Solid understanding of data structures, ETL processes, order lifecycle management, and inventory workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead and influence in a collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Experience with other commerce or middleware platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.).
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems, POS, PIM, or marketing automation tools.
• Familiarity with microservices, headless commerce, and MACH architecture principles.
• Certifications in BigCommerce, NetSuite, AWS, Azure, or relevant technologies.
