Guidewire Pricing and Rating Team

We are part of the team responsible for building and maintaining an insurance pricing platform, which enables insurers to quickly build advanced pricing models and deploy them to production. Leveraging a modern technology stack, machine learning libraries and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), the platform ensures scalability, performance, and security - driving higher profitability for insurers and greater satisfaction for policyholders.

The pricing and rating team has been recently acquired and merged, and you will be involved in a key strategic initiative of Guidewire, receiving significant focus and momentum, particularly from a recruitment and resources perspective.

Our teams take ownership of all aspects of the software development lifecycle for their services, including architecture, coding, quality assurance, infrastructure, and deployment strategies. We actively cooperate with the product team on a daily basis as well as cooperate with sales and customers success teams to drive our product excellence. We value extreme feedback, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance within the team.

This role is primarily remote, with flexible working hours. Occasional in-person meetings are required.

Backend Services

This role is part of the team responsible for developing and maintaining backend services within the insurance pricing platform. The team's focus is on delivering solutions that could improve user experience in designing and executing pricing solutions. You will be involved in designing, creating, and improving ideas on how to make our platform the best one on the market. This includes working on concurrent flows, optimizing response times and developing robust RESTful APIs. These services form the foundation of our platform, providing our customers with robust and flexible solutions.
