Project – the aim you'll have

Our client is a Belgian technology company specializing in advanced software and system integration for sectors such as automotive, mobility, and industry. They focus on building intelligent, data-driven solutions that enable automation, efficiency, and innovation. With strong expertise in embedded systems, cloud platforms, and AI, they support businesses in bridging the gap between hardware and software to accelerate digital transformation. You will contribute to the development of their main platform that is designed to streamline the collection, management, and analysis of data from diverse sources. It enables real-time monitoring, visualization, and insights that help teams make informed decisions quickly. With flexible integration options and a user-friendly interface, it simplifies the process of turning raw data into actionable intelligence, supporting use cases across development, testing, and operational environments.

Position – how you'll contribute

1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 

2. Architecting and developing robust and scalable backend systems.

3. Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic. 

4. Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability. 

5. Contributing to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. 

6. Staying up to date with industry trends and ensuring our technology stack is current

Expectations – the experience you need

1.A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 

2. Proven experience (+3 years) as a backend engineer or similar role.

3. Language & Platform: C# (10/11/12), .NET 6–8, SOLID principles, async/await, LINQ 

4. APIs & Web: ASP.NET Core (MVC/Minimal API), RESTful design, Swagger/OpenAPI, JWT/OIDC auth 

5. Data & Persistence: EF Core (migrations, tracking), SQL (query tuning, indexing), caching (MemoryCache/Distributed), Postgress db

6. Messaging & Integration: Event-driven patterns, idempotency, Azure Service Bus/RabbitMQ/Kafka 

7. Testing & Quality: Unit/integration testing (xUnit, Moq), static analysis, code review 

8. Security: OWASP Top 10, secure coding, OAuth2/OIDC, Key Vault 

9. Cloud & DevOps: Azure App Service/Storage/Key Vault, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), Docker 

10. Observability & Maintenance: Serilog structured logging, OpenTelemetry, Application Insights 

11. Architecture & Patterns: Clean Architecture, DDD concepts, dependency injection, resiliency (Polly) 

12. Data-Intensive / Sensor / Timeseries: Handling large-volume streaming data, batch processing, optimized DB schema design for time-based data 

13. Tooling & Collaboration: Git branching, PR reviews, Azure DevOps or GitHub workflows 

14. Soft Skills & Ownership: Ownership from concept to production, mentoring, clear communication, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

10. Data-Intensive / Sensor / Timeseries: Experience with timeseries databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB), data ingestion pipelines (Azure Event Hub, Kafka, IoT Hub), ETL/ELT processes, real-time analytics, partitioning & retention strategies 

11. Tooling & Collaboration: Release automation, semantic versioning, SonarQube 

12. Soft Skills & Ownership: Cross-team coordination, architecture vision
