Why This Role Matters
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Service Management Specialist with extensive experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management and BMC Remedy application configuration. This role will support a larger critical CMDB initiative for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing hardware and software assets, and creating stakeholder reports and dashboards. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities
As the IT Service Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop strategies for hardware and software asset management.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of the IT Asset and CMDB to ensure data integrity and compliance with ITIL best practices.
  • Develop and maintain processes (automated and manual) inventory management
  • Provide expert guidance on the use of lifecycle management and how to maintain synchronicity with CMDB statuses
  • Ability to create and manage reports and dashboards providing visibility into asset and configuration item status, trends, and metrics.
  • Plan, monitor, and record software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts and relevant laws
  • Predict and minimize risks associated with IT assets, such as theft, loss, or non-compliance issues
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in IT asset management and configuration management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in IT Service Management, with a focus on hardware and software asset management.
  • Extensive experience with BMC Helix or other asset management tools.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices related to hardware and software asset management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with software and hardware asset management tools and systems.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, BMC, ServiceNow, PMP) are a plus.
