About The Role
The Risk & Compliance tech team builds and runs solutions that help protect the bank and its customers from financial crime, sanctions risk, market abuse and other regulatory threats. The focus is on smart, data-based risk management that supports global business growth. We're looking for a
Data Engineer
who enjoys working close to the data and understands how information flows end to end. You'll be building and improving data pipelines within the Risk & Compliance area, working closely with business stakeholders to turn real needs into practical data solutions. You'll collaborate with engineering teams in Poland, India and the UK. The role covers both project work and post-go-live support once solutions are in production.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand data needs and use cases
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to design the right technical solutions
  • Build, test and validate data pipelines all the way to production
  • Support and maintain solutions after go-live as part of BAU work

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience building data pipelines using Python, Spark and SQL
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries with joins, unions and transformations
  • Ability to break down complex SQL logic and rework it into PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark development
  • Solid analytical mindset and a focus on efficient, reliable data pipelines
  • Good understanding of configuration management, orchestration, containerization and deployment automation
  • Experience with cloud deployments, ideally on GCP
  • Nice to have: hands-on work with GCP Dataproc, BigQuery and GKE
