The Integration Solution Architect
is a trusted solution advisor for
the Global Digital Integration Product Team
and supports the Product Owner and development team(s) in translating and refining the business requirements into a secure and high performing set of integration solution(s)/ architectures.

The role is focused on delivering integration solutions, e.g. functional and technical interface designs, integration architecture standards and policies, working in close cooperation with the assigned Global Function, Product Architect, the integration SMEs and our System Integrator partner(s).

The solution architect leads the refinement of new business functional demand and integration patterns, designing a scalable integration solution, and will be accountable for the overall quality delivery of the Integration team(s). One of the key aspects of the role is that it is truly cross integration platform, therefore you will be able to see 'big picture' and translate business needs into integration solution architectures that follows API first, event driven integration strategy, over cloud integration platform(s).

In this role, you will provide an 'outside in' view on the digital integration needs and requirements from the customers and consumers, within D&T and global functions and offer integration solutions for these needs. Lastly, you may be partnering with our vendors/suppliers and leading agencies to understand new integration trends, platform capabilities, and innovative design that supports upscaling and automation.

HEINEKEN
follows a non-native Hybrid Integration Platform strategy. We have a limited set of integration platforms, that each support unique integration patterns. Each platform is owned by separate software vendors: ESB from SAP (SAP PO and SAP CI), iPaaS (Boomi and Mulesoft), API-management from IBM (Azure API Management) and a cloud messaging broker from Solace (Solace). Around these platforms, we strive for maximal automation (UI-Path), for maximal transparency (SPLUNK), highest code quality (SonarQube) and consistent release management (Azure Dev/Ops and CTS+).

Your Responsibilities Would Include

• being an ambassador of the Digital Integration team to promote API-first and event-driven integration strategy
• partnering with architects, product owners and other team members
• actively participating in the intake of new requirements together with product owners, feature leads and product architects, and driving the refinements with the development team
• collaborating with fellow solution architects and SMEs to identify, define and maintain integration standards and best practices
• driving continuous improvement analysis on existing integration solutions and identifying architectural optimizations
• using user and stakeholder feedback to guide the development of new products and integration enhancements
• understanding business needs and collaborating with product architects and functional SMEs to propose and prepare solution designs
• delivering and owning highly scalable, reusable and future-ready integration solution designs aligned with integration architectural guardrails
• verifying the implementation of integration use cases to ensure consistency with the agreed design and requirements
• offering integration developers well-documented integration patterns to ensure high-quality design focused on reusability, scalability and security
• seeking innovation by learning from peer companies and market leaders to improve solution quality and time to market
• collaborating with scrum teams, fellow integration SMEs and architects, while offering coaching in relevant areas
• coordinating with product teams to deliver value through Agile Scrum and actively participating in Scrum events and portfolio ceremonies.

You Are a Good Candidate If You Have

• hands-on experience in the similar role that dealt with building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise integration solutions, within an international and multi-cultural environment
• demonstratable hands on experience of various integration architecture designs & patterns such as microservices, event based and SOA amongst others
• solution architect level proven experience with MuleSoft and at least one of the following preferred platforms - Boomi, Azure API, SAP PO, SAP CPI, AWS, or similar industry leading platforms, both on premise and on cloud
• solid understanding of and exposure to the technical specifics on integration standard (XML, IDOC, JSON, PROXY, OAS) and concepts - event brokers, event driven architecture, data virtualization
• expert level ability to visualize and create high-level models to visualize how the business requirements will be translated into integration solutions; DFDs and business process diagrams
• ability to drive decisions and recommendation about which integration approach and patterns to use while leveraging existing and new technologies within the Digital Integration area
• agile mindset and practical experience in Agile delivery, Scrum experience is plus
• experience of working in a value and time driven environment with rapid release cycles and can deal with (occasionally) changing priorities
• demonstrate end-to-end ownership of work that you do, while dealing with some uncertainty in requirements & features to deliver MVP solutions
• reasonable knowledge and experience of DevOps and quality engineering, CI-CD pipelines, coding best practices and using tools such as - SonarQube, ELK stack, Azure DevOps, Splunk
• excellent communication skills, being able to translate technical language into a story that can be understood by less technical people and at different levels of seniority
• ability to work effectively with people of different cultures and backgrounds and at all levels of a product team, with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
• ability to identify and understand multiple stakeholder perspectives and "truths", build on the views of others while positively challenging them
• preferable experience in middleware monitoring solutions (e.g. Splunk, NewRelic, ELK stack).
