As we expand, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to support our financial operations remotely from Poland.

Job Overview:

As a Remote Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. You will manage daily accounting tasks, support reporting requirements, and work closely with our international team to ensure financial compliance across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, ensuring proper classification of transactions related to assets, liabilities, income, and expenses.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Perform journal entries for all key transactions, including accruals, depreciation, amortization, and asset capitalization.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes with detailed reconciliations and reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process and review invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring correct coding and allocation to the appropriate cost centers and projects.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding payables and receivables.
• Maintain vendor and client records, ensuring all financial documentation is accurate and complete.

Asset & Liability Accounting

• Track and record all company assets (real estate, equipment, investments) with accurate valuations and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure correct entries and documentation for acquisitions, disposals, and revaluations of assets.
• Record and reconcile liability accounts such as loans, accruals, and deferred income.
• Support periodic asset audits and verification processes.

Tax, Compliance & External Coordination

• Prepare and file VAT and other statutory returns in compliance with multi-jurisdictional regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities as required.
• Maintain compliance with EU financial reporting standards.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

• Work closely with property managers and commercial teams to ensure proper documentation of income, leases, and property-related expenses.
• Assist with budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Provide insights and recommendations for process improvement in financial management and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or property management
• Ability to work Ireland Time (GMT+1)
• Proficiency in one of the accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of EU VAT and accounting principles
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
