Android developer, Banking

We are looking for an Android Developer who wants to be part of Tietoevry Banking. Tietoevry Banking is the leading financial services software and solution partner in the Nordics. We offer modular, pre-integrated banking as a service solutions and market-leading software for core, payments, credit, cards, financial fraud, and wealth. You will be working in Channels, where we specialize in delivering user-friendly self-service solutions like mobile and online banking clients, bank administration solutions, as well as modern Open Banking APIs. When joining Channels as an Android Developer you will be

• Participating in an autonomous agile team that develops solutions for our customers

• Continuously improving, maintaining, and evolving existing solutions together with the team

• Working on both native app development and the interface with our responsive web solutions

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of agile processes and team workflows

We're looking for an experienced Android developer to join our team remotely.

What You'll Work With

Ideally, you have hands-on experience with:

• Jetpack Compose – building modern, responsive UIs 
• Kotlin – writing clean, maintainable code 
• Gradle – managing builds efficiently and effectively 
• Version control systems – especially Git and GitHub, which we use for collaboration and code management 
• CI/CD pipelines – experience with GitHub Actions or similar tools to automate testing and deployment 
• Dependency Injection – understanding and applying DI principles to write scalable and testable code 
• Modern Android Architecture – applying recommended patterns and practices for building robust, maintainable apps 
• Testing on Android – writing and maintaining unit tests and UI tests to ensure app reliability and quality 
• Security and privacy awareness – following best practices for handling sensitive data, permissions, and secure storage
• Accessibility and localization – designing inclusive apps and supporting multiple languages and regions

Bonus points if you also have experience with:

• Kotlin Multiplatform – sharing code across platforms 
• Swift and Xcode – cross-platform development experience is highly valued
