DevOps Team Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate open and honest communication within the team and organization.
  • Set and track performance goals for team members; conduct annual evaluations.
  • Oversee critical services, manage on-call duties, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure swift resolution of production issues, prioritize preventive actions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Train, onboard, and integrate new team members; assign mentors.
  • Participate in recruitment and Agile/Scrum meetings.
  • Document and enforce engineering practices within the team.
  • Design and implement scalable, resilient services.
  • Evaluate and benchmark new solutions; plan capacity and growth.
  • Deploy and configure new services; manage both in-house and external services.
  • Improve internal services for better deployment and configuration.
  • Support DevOps teams in development activities.
  • Prioritize work and plan projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Owners on timelines and deliverables.
  • Guide the team through technical challenges and support software delivery improvements.
  • Introduce and enhance tools and processes for software release and deployment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years in DevOps; 1 year as a Tech Lead or DevOps manager.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with SRE, Agile, and DevOps principles.
  • Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of Linux.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Understanding of network protocols and services.
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Informatics, Telecommunication, or a related field.
  • Flexibility, collaboration, resourcefulness, and a positive attitude.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Go programming.
  • Comprehensive software engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of HTTP/1.1/2.0 and RESTful APIs
