EMEA Recruitment is exclusively supporting a global consumer goods company in the search for a
Strategic Buyer – Contract Manufacturing Services,
a key role within their European procurement team.

This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading organization at the forefront of supply chain innovation.

The successful candidate will take ownership of sourcing for contract manufacturing services and specialist finished cell categories across the EMEA region, with a strong focus on long-term value creation, strategic supplier relationships, and cross-functional collaboration. The role offers high exposure within the business and the chance to contribute directly to cost optimization, operational resilience, and sustainability objectives.

Key responsibilities of the Strategic Buyer – Contract Manufacturing Services:

  • Lead sourcing strategies for external packaging operations and finished cell categories (including Silver Oxide and Hearing Aid Cells)
  • Develop category roadmaps aligned with supply assurance, cost, quality, service, innovation, and sustainability goals
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and R&D teams to support operational and strategic procurement initiatives
  • Analyze internal data and market insights to drive fact-based decision-making and supplier negotiations
  • Participate in cross-functional cost-saving projects and provide forecasting inputs for budgeting and business reviews
  • Build and maintain productive supplier relationships and vendor performance monitoring
  • Drive procurement excellence through process improvement, compliance, and policy development

Candidate profile:

  • 5+ years of Procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing, consumer goods, or technical product environments
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Strong negotiation skills across both strategic partnerships and competitive bidding processes
  • Analytical mindset with confidence in handling complex datasets and drawing

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix organization with multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in English
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and responsiveness
