The role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional who is passionate about using data to solve business problems. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming raw financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. You will work closely with finance partners to support their data needs while developing your technical and analytical skills.

• Data Preparation & Management: Perform end-to-end data preparation, including sourcing, cleaning, and transforming data using ETL processes to create analysis-ready datasets.
• Analysis & Insights: Analyze datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, answer key business questions, and generate actionable insights for the finance team.
• Reporting & Visualization: Design, build, and maintain clear and compelling dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI to communicate findings effectively.
• Problem Solving: Collaborate with finance partners to tackle well-defined business problems, providing data-driven recommendations under the guidance of senior team members.
• Process Improvement: Assist in documenting data pipelines and assets, and work with the team to identify opportunities for improving data quality and process efficiency.
• Forecasting: Contribute to time series analysis and modeling
• Other: Apply your understanding of core financial concepts to support the daily operational needs of the finance department, from reporting to ad-hoc analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role (candidates with a relevant Master's degree but without professional experience are also encouraged to apply)
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience creating reports and dashboards with a data visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Experience with data transformation and ETL processes.
• A solid foundational understanding of core financial concepts and metrics is a plus.
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow) and version control (e.g., Git) is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
