Summary:

The
Senior Business Analyst
will play a pivotal role in a global retail and distribution organization, focusing on analyzing complex data to enhance business processes, support product delivery, and ensure data quality across diverse systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and insights.
  • Write and understand complex SQL queries.
  • Conduct data validation to ensure quality and integrity.
  • Review initiatives with technology and business teams.
  • Document user process flows and scenarios.
  • Assess new data sources for structure and quality.
  • Investigate data lineage and anomalies.
  • Collaborate with teams for metadata documentation.
  • Perform metadata assessments for gaps and classifications.
  • Contribute to the development of data models and schemas.
  • Support the Product Manager in delivering product outcomes.
  • Assist business teams during UAT and in post-production queries.
  • Support Engineering in design based on data understanding.

Must Haves:

  • Experience in data analysis with complex data sets.
  • High proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data validation and quality assurance.
  • Ability to document business and technical processes.
  • Experience with data modeling.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in working within retail or distribution environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data cataloguing tools.
