Associate Consultant, Reinsurance

As a fast-growing Shared Service Centre (SSC) we are looking for an Associate Consultant to support our AXA XL Re Operations with potential to cooperate with other offices.

You will perform claims handling operational duties for assigned reinsurance accounts, including checking and booking of claims data reported by clients (brokers/cedents), verifying settlement amounts and monitoring third-party debtor balances. Together with the team leader and AXA XL teams in various locations, you will help to coordinate workload, you will be subject matter expert in the role and will handle more complex matters within delegated authority. As an Associate Consultant, you will be supporting risk/premium and claims data analysis and reporting, including data quality control activities.

What you'll be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Analysing and reviewing Reinsurance contracts terms
• Entering, updating and reviewing contract information into company's source system ensuring accuracy and timeliness of entries.
• Maintaining contract data records and status information throughout the life of a transaction, in accordance with best practice procedures and guidelines
• Investigating inconsistencies, account discrepancies and related issues, and raising/resolving these in cooperation with the team leader and AXA XL regional business partners
• Conducting data reviews/refinements, based on specified 'housekeeping'/data quality control reports.
• Supporting the AXA XL Reinsurance Operations/Underwriting functions in general risk administration tasks (e.g. ad hoc data analysis, reports production)
• Responding to queries raised by internal parties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities

You will report to Team Manager.

What you will BRING

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Experience in Insurance/Reinsurance – must have
• University degree (or equivalent), preferably in a quantitative discipline (e.g. finance, accounting)
• Relevant certifications in Insurance/Reinsurance/Finance are a plus
• Analytical approach, diligent and accurate working style, flair for numbers, attention to detail
• Team player skills with good communication and interpersonal skills, able to coordinate a team – support for the Team Leader
• All training skills, patience and can-do attitude are assets
• Proactive mind-set: ability to work independently, demonstrating prioritization and time management skills and delivering against tight deadlines
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is a must (at least B1 level).
