Meet Our Team
Pega's Technical Documentation team is seeking a Manager of Technical Documentation to enable Pega Community users in our world-class technology. Providing technical content and various other assets to the Pega Community user base, this group works collaboratively with product owners, curriculum developers, and various subject matter experts.

We are service-oriented, collaborative, detail-oriented, and aim to create and maintain technical documentation and educational assets that users want to engage with. This user base includes seasoned developers as well as first-time users of the Pega product line.

The Manager of Technical Documentation will lead and maintain a highly effective team delivering product documentation in lockstep with product releases. This position will be accountable for content development, milestone reporting, delivery of high-quality documentation, and successful customer enablement for the specified products or areas of a product.

What You'll Do At Pega

• Lead a globally divers team of writers in creating high-quality technical documentation
• Drive quality improvements in our documentation content and process
• Understand product developer requirements and build strong relationships working collaboratively with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and members of the Consulting organization to ensure that all content is developed in accordance to product and implementation best practices, use case models, and presentation techniques.
• Be responsible for creating and delivering project plans for his or her area of responsibility including driving team members to deliver best-in-class documentation with accordance with product release schedules.

Who You Are
An intelligent, motivated, and collaborative individual with exceptional communication skills and people management skills. You have proven experience in leading a team of technical writers documenting complex software products and leveraging generative AI and automation tools for technical documentation.

What You've Accomplished

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Documentation, Computer Science, or applicable field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in documenting software
• Demonstrated ability to implement Agile documentation practices, including incremental updates and close integration with scrum teams.
• System Architect certification expected within 3 months of joining Pegasystems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong program and project management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with content authoring and publication tools such as Madcap Flare
• Proven ability to build relationships across organizational boundaries
• Ability to organize and present a range of technical material to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to independently manage a technical documentation project, including the development and execution of a comprehensive documentation plan.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt work methods in response to changing priorities
