Senior Full-Stack Developer

The Cloud People is expanding its Cloudia Platform team and is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer & Tech Lead to join our growing engineering hub in Poland.

You'll play a key role in leading a hybrid development team composed of internal engineers and external consultants, collaborating closely with our European delivery teams, and driving the technical evolution of Cloudia — our cloud-native platform built on a modern microservices architecture.

In this role, you will also help shape our AI development strategy, designing and delivering intelligent features powered by Google Cloud's Vertex AI and Gemini models.

Your Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor a hybrid team of in-house and consultant developers in Poland, ensuring strong delivery alignment and technical excellence.

- Design and develop scalable microservices using Spring Boot 3.3+ and Angular 17+

- Architect event-driven solutions leveraging Google Cloud Pub/Sub for distributed communication.

- Build and enhance AI-powered features using Vertex AI, Gemini models, and Google Cloud AI Platform.

- Implement RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger and follow API-first design principles.

- Design efficient database schemas and optimize performance for MongoDB and BigQuery.

- Collaborate with Product Management to translate AI-driven opportunities into deliverable features.

- Foster effective collaboration across internal and consultant teams, ensuring smooth communication across European time zones.

- Oversee code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

- Drive architectural and strategic decisions for Cloudia's evolving microservices ecosystem and cloud infrastructure.

Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Secret Manager)
DevOps: Gradle 8+, Docker, Terraform, Bitbucket Pipelines, Google Cloud Build
Testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, TestContainers, Playwright, Jasmine/Karma
AI/ML: Vertex AI, Gemini models, Google Cloud AI Platform

Qualifications

- 5+ years of full-stack development experience using Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.

- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

- Hands-on experience with Angular, React, or Vue.

- Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform services.

- Familiarity with event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Experience designing and maintaining AI/ML integrations on Google Cloud (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML).

- Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.

- Strong understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

- Solid knowledge of API-first RESTful design.

- Experience implementing automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Proven technical leadership experience, including mentoring and supporting team members across different setups (internal and consulting).

Nice to Have

- Experience integrating LLMs and generative AI into production systems.

- Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI safety configurations.

- Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.

- Knowledge of Keycloak or other identity management solutions.

- Familiarity with Gradle Kotlin DSL.

- Open-source contributions or technical writing experience.
