What can you expect?

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable Java-based applications and services.

• Implement new features and enhance existing functionalities in alignment with business requirements and technical guidelines.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices and internal coding standards.

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making regarding system design, performance, and scalability.

• Ensure application performance, availability, and security by conducting regular code optimizations and implementing proper security measures.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues in production and development environments.

• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, knowledge sharing, and adherence to best practices.

• Create and update technical documentation, including system diagrams, API specifications, and deployment guides.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines to enable smooth and automated deployment processes.

• Support and mentor junior developers by providing guidance, feedback, and technical expertise.

• Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and frameworks in the Java ecosystem and proactively suggest improvements.

• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Who are you?

• Java development skills with at least 3 years of experience.

• Knowledge of the most popular java libraries and frameworks: Springboot, Kafka, JPA etc

• have a degree in computer science, or a similar background, or you just have enough professional experience to blow right through all your challenges

• are a great communicator, analytic, goal-oriented, quality-focused, yet still agile person who likes to work with software engineers; you will interact a lot with architects, developers from other teams, component owners and system engineers

• have a clear overview of all layers in computer software development, including REST APIs, event-driven architecture and how to make and integrate them in our products

• have Java server-side development and SQL and database knowledge

• frontend experience with React (nice to have)

• are open to pick-up innovative technologies as needed by the team.

• have or want to build experience with cloud and DevOps infrastructure (like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Concourse, etc.)
