We are hiring on behalf of our client, a global innovator in fitness and wellness technology. Their mission is to empower people to live fit, strong, long, and happy lives by delivering integrated experiences to millions of members anytime, anywhere.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll join a cross-functional team of talented engineers, product managers, and designers. You will play a pivotal role in leading the team, shaping the technical strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software while fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and career development processes.

Technical Ownership

  • Drive technical initiatives to build robust, maintainable, and scalable systems.
  • Actively contribute to architectural discussions, code reviews, and technical strategy.
  • Balance delivery speed with maintaining code quality and system integrity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, Design, and Program Management to deliver roadmap goals.
  • Align business and technical priorities, ensuring stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Identify dependencies and proactively remove blockers across teams.
Requirements:

Technical Expertise

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong skills in Java/Kotlin, React, JavaScript, and cloud.
  • Experience delivering production-grade applications and scalable solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Agile, Lean, and DevOps principles.

Leadership Experience

  • 2+ years in a leadership or management role in engineering.
  • Proven ability to motivate, guide, and grow high-performing teams.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in complex technical environments.

Collaboration & Mindset

  • Excellent communication in English.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and align stakeholders effectively.
  • Passion for learning, innovation, and building elegant, high-quality software.
