Junior RTR Accountant

Our Shared Service Center in Kraków has been growing steadily for the past three years and we are now proud to say that we have over 180 colleagues on board servicing such areas as RTR, PTP, ITC and supporting the processes globally for our organization.

As part of the RTR team, we are now looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Junior RTR Accountant. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of
accounting
operations, ranging from balance sheet reconciliations to end-of-month closing activities.

Prior internship experience in accounting or banking (or a university degree in this area) will be considered a plus, but we are open to people at the start of their professional career who display analytical skills and are wanting to learn more about this field.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations including cash transactions reconciliations (e.g. daily cashbooks)
  • Analysing P&L accounts (mainly OPEX)
  • Supporting senior colleagues in the preparation and posting of journal entries (allocations, provisions, accruals, reclassifications etc.)
  • Supporting with month-end and year-end closure activities
  • Supporting with the preparation of required financial reports
  • Updating financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Cooperating with internal and external auditors
  • Cooperating with the local finance teams and other Vesuvius departments
  • Keeping the process documentation up to date

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree - preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Basic previous experience/internship in the RTR/GL area or another finance area, ideally from an accountancy firm or a SSC/BPO environment – preferred
  • Good knowledge of English (min. B2 level)
  • Polish fluency (B2+)
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Motivation and ability to gain knowledge fast and process information
  • Ability to work in a team
  • "Can-do" attitude
