Platform Enablement function
sits at the heart of this transformation — enabling engineers to deliver faster, safer, and with greater consistency. The team designs and runs the internal platforms, automation, and private-cloud environments that make modern software delivery possible.

About the Role

As a
Platform Engineering Team Lead
, you'll play a key role in shaping how engineering happens across the organisation. You'll lead a team building shared platforms and tools that empower hundreds of developers to deliver high-quality software at scale.

This is an opportunity to combine
technical depth with strategic influence
— driving improvements in CI/CD, automation, and cloud enablement while fostering a strong engineering culture. You'll have a visible impact on developer productivity, reliability, and the overall delivery experience.

What You'll Do / Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor platform engineers building core automation, CI/CD, and private-cloud solutions.
  • Define and deliver a clear platform roadmap that improves speed, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and compliant platform patterns.
  • Champion operational excellence — ensuring performance, observability, and lifecycle management.
  • Use data and feedback (e.g. DORA metrics, adoption rates, satisfaction) to guide continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment where engineers experiment, learn, and deliver tangible impact.

What You'll Bring / Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience
    leading or coaching platform, DevOps, or infrastructure teams
    in large-scale environments.
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of
    automation, CI/CD, configuration management
    , and
    Linux-based systems (RHEL/CentOS)
    .
  • Experience designing or evolving
    private-cloud infrastructure patterns
    and developer enablement platforms.
  • Understanding of
    secure software delivery, compliance,
    and
    risk management.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills — able to connect strategy, technology, and execution.
  • A passion for
    developer experience, continuous improvement,
    and
    high-quality engineering outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience in
    fintech or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with
    developer portals
    (e.g. Backstage) and
    platform product management
    practices.
  • Knowledge of
    DORA metrics
    , observability tools, and engineering effectiveness frameworks.
