MarketLister is a growing online directory and classifieds platform operating on and We help local businesses get discovered across multiple cities and categories and are now focusing on strengthening our organic visibility and indexation across a large, fast-growing site.

Role Overview

You will own the technical SEO for MarketLister. Your main goal is to make sure our category, city and business pages are easily discovered, crawled and indexed by search engines. You will work directly with the founder and developers and turn data from SEO tools into concrete improvements on the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the technical SEO roadmap for and
  • Improve crawlability and indexation for thousands of city, category and business pages.
  • Configure and maintain XML sitemaps, , canonical tags and internal linking.
  • Monitor Google Search Console (coverage, indexing, enhancements) and define actions.
  • Run regular technical SEO audits (structure, duplicates, performance, structured data).
  • Collaborate with developers to implement SEO-friendly changes and releases.
  • Report on results using data from GSC, GA4 and SEO crawlers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong focus on technical SEO.
  • Proven results with large or multi-location sites (crawlability, indexation, organic growth).
  • Solid understanding of crawl budget, site architecture, sitemaps, canonicals, parameters.
  • Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one crawler (e.g. Screaming Frog, Sitebulb).
  • Ability to read HTML and understand how changes affect SEO.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Good written and spoken English (B2+). Polish is a plus but not required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with marketplaces, classifieds or local business directories.
  • Experience with Core Web Vitals, / JSON-LD and log file analysis.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM tools to speed up audits and documentation.
